Up for sale is a Charles Ponte bassoon, made in Germany in 90s, same design and keywork of Schreiber's Professional Model bassoon. Seasoned maple wood body with nature grain. Standar German system keywork with many features including high D keys, D/Eb trill key, whisper key and lock, 9 rollers, lined tone holes. It has warm and full sound, solid intonation, easy response in all range , A comparison nowadays model Schreiber S91(less high E key). Recently fully serviced, most new pads, no crackes on wood body. no mold or rust, smoke free. Great for high school and college band, orchestra or ametuers. Comes with Protec case, well matched #2 bocal, reed case, reeds and leather strap. Ready to play.

Schreiber company had exported many bassoons
to
US
companies during 1970-1990s, including
Conn
, Mirafone, Zuleger, Charles Ponte,
Lyons Monarch, Meinhart,
Polis, etc. Except Polis who requested Schreiber to use his own design (with some extra keys or French bell ring), others seemed simply stencilled with their logos on. Still, on the body of the boot joint, it stamps Made in West Germany or Made in Germany like regular Schreiber bassoons.
