Description

For sale: Art Deco Flask Silverplate Model 1316 made by Meriden B Co International Co.  You will receive the exact item in the photographs.
The makers mark dates it to between 1898 (when Meriden B joined International Silver Co) and the 1930's when the company ended.
The "B" indicates "Britannia Company" and they typically provided an underbody for silver plating composed of "Britannia", a pewter-like metal generally made from 93 percent tin, with 5 percent antimony and 2 percent copper.  There is no mark on the flask clearly indicating if it is silverplate or silver, but since most of Meriden's products are silverplate, I have assumed that it is silverplate.
Condition is USED.  The flask is engraved with the intials "
G. O. B.
"  The flask has scuffs, dings, dents and a whole lot of character.  The top screws on/off easily and the hinge on top articulates smoothly to hold the cap.  The cork inside the cap lid is not in good condition.
Measurements:
Weight: 11 ounces
Height: 5 1/4 inches   Width: about 4 3/8 inches.
