RARE ONE OF A KIND! Clymer Suzuki : Smokey The Bear Poster- READ MORE...38” x 25”
This vintage poster is like brand new. It actually came from the estate of a man who was the color matcher at the printing company that made the book covers for Clymer, as well as Star Wars posters that were made for advertisements before the movies came out and record album advertising for the music stores.
So, if you notice the color graph on the top and middle of the poster, this was always done on pre-production work. So you have the Smokey The Bear Poster also. This was called “ganging.” It’s when they tried to save money by putting multiple advertisements on one sheet for the work. After figuring out the color scheme, then they would print them out individually. So, this is the only one of its kind ever made. Done in the early 1980s, And it was it made before the actual book covers or posters came out.
