These SS-10-12V Solar Charge Controllers feature an all-aluminum chassis with thick mounting flanges for durable installations. They are engineered for safety with an extensive feature set.
Item Details:
Morningstar's superior series switching provides many advantages compared to shunt controllers. Series regulation reduces FET heating and lowers voltage stress on the power FETs. A series configuration also improves protection against lightning surges and reduces switching noise. The series design improves charging accuracy. In PWM, series switching becomes self-correcting for temperature and system voltage drops.
SYSTEM COMPATIBILITY: Designed for use in smaller systems. Max 10A solar/load current. Constant voltage PWM regulation; 4-stage charging

RATED FOR USE IN HAZARDOUS LOCATIONS: meets UL/CSA requirements for Class 1, Division 2, Groups A-D for oil & gas and other critical environment applications.  T5 temperature rating for up to 100⁰C/212⁰ F (boiling water)
