    Description

    Here we have a beautiful Victorian, Wilcox Silver Co. silverplate castor set with amazing Ruby cut to clear bottles and featuring wonderful wheel engraved elements including leaping stag, castles and towers, floral devices, coinspots, and cartouches with dots and crosshatching. The bottles are in excellent condition with original silverplated hardware and ruby stoppers. The rotating frame, with it's highly decorative handle, trumpet foot, and  circular body is accented with decorative engraved panels featuring grapes, flowers, floral sprigs, spade and circular panels and features central dog heads. Plating is very good to excellent (98%+) with some very light wear and small scratches, but much better than you'd expect from a piece of this age. Glass elements are excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs. Measures 17" tall x 7-1/2" in diameter. C.1880
