Antique Millersburg Glass of Ohio Whirling Leaves Marigold Carnival Glass Bowl 10". Exquisite Crimped Bowl has Embossed Patterns on Both Sides. Features Whirling Leaves and Flowers on the Interior, and a Geometric Design on the Exterior. Beaded Wavy Rim. Crafted In United States. Circa 1908-1912.
I took these photos in different lightings, to show color and detail. In a brighter light, you see the soft golden glow. In a more muted light, its darker, orangish hue stands out.
Millersburg Glass Company, the brain-child of John W. Fenton, was founded in 1908, but closed in 1912. The high quality of the glass, short period of production, and the air of mystery around the company, have all combined to make much of Millersburg’s Carnival Glass somewhat scarce and much sought-after.
